The attested ledger of music work

Your music work deserves a record.

Vedsora captures what happened, confirms it with the people involved, understands what it means for tax, and turns it into evidence you own.

The problem

Most music work leaves no usable record.

Much of the UK's music workforce is self-employed. Income arrives from teaching, performing, royalties, sales, rentals and repairs, and is pieced together months later from bank statements, messages and memory.

The context is lost at each step. By the time anyone asks for proof, it has to be reconstructed.

With Vedsora

VedsoraRecordConfirmationClassificationEvidence

The record is made when the work happens, and confirmed by the person who paid.

The platform

One identity. Six activity layers. One record layer.

Vedsora brings together the place where music work happens and the financial meaning of that work. Choose a layer to see what it does.

One identity learner, teacher, performer, seller, owner
One record layer classify, capture, attest, reconcile
Activity layer

Teach. Run a teaching practice from one place.

  • Profile, calendar and booking
  • Student records and lesson packages
  • Invoicing and earnings reporting
  • Payment captured at booking and released after delivery
What reaches the record

Teaching income is classified when the lesson happens, with the rule that applied.

What the record produces

Three kinds of evidence, owned by the musician.

Evidence product

Proof of Income

A consented, shareable statement of work.

  • Who paid
  • What happened and when
  • Amount and income classification
  • Supporting evidence

Designed for mortgage brokers, letting agents, lenders and other legitimate verification contexts. It complements your existing financial documents. It does not guarantee any lending decision.

Evidence product

Proof of Practice

A verifiable record of teaching, performance and professional activity over time.

  • Grants and arts funding applications
  • Examination-board registration
  • Teaching appointments and accreditation
  • Insurance and professional verification

Potential uses. Acceptance is always the decision of the organisation receiving it.

Evidence product

Instrument Record

A persistent record that stays with the instrument.

  • Ownership history and permissions
  • Condition and handover evidence
  • Repairs and service history

Built to improve trust, provenance, resale confidence, insurance readiness and rental viability.

The flywheel

Real work makes the record. The record brings more work.

Every confirmed lesson, engagement, sale, rental and repair adds to a history that becomes more useful with time.

Who it is for

Find yourself here.

For self-employed instrumental and vocal teachers with many students and income arriving in many ways.

  • Bookings, packages, invoices and student records in one place
  • Each lesson confirmed by the student or parent who paid
  • Income classified as you go, ready for your accountant
Core innovation

A self-declared statement becomes an evidence trail.

Counterparty-attested income and instrument records, generated at the point of work, across the activities a musician undertakes.

Presence

Vedsora is where the lesson, booking, sale, rental or repair actually takes place.

Classification

Each transaction carries its UK tax treatment and the rule behind it.

Confirmation

The person who paid or took part confirms that it happened.

Why now

Digital tax reporting is reaching self-employed musicians.

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is being phased in by income level. More musicians will need digital records kept through the year, when many still rely on a year-end reconstruction.

Vedsora is a technology platform that makes the underlying records more structured, explainable and usable. It does not give tax advice and does not replace an accountant. Support for quarterly MTD workflows is planned for once the recognised-software milestone is achieved.
